Facebook SIM Card Released

Today i was shocked hearing the news that a website with a lot of users (facebook) is going to release its first SIM  by Gemalto.

who is gemalto??

He is the first sim maker with in the world.

Ok lets get into our point facebook is going to release its first SIM because in last two years  facebook has been operated through mobile phones upto 70% more then using PC and only 30% has been operated through PC's.

So the founder of facebook has thought of making a facebook SIM, its true, now your new GSM cell phone will be having Facebook built-in. Gemalto has created the first SIM card including functions related to the social network.He has managed to get Facebook running on a SIM chip, making every GSM phone a Facebook phone and bringing social networking to the simplest of handsets.Gemalto tells like this

We worked closely with Gemalto on their Facebook for SIM product and believe it will be another easy and affordable way for people to stay connected through Facebook on the mobile phone of their choice. Facebook for SIM creatively combines technologies from some of our existing mobile solutions that especially are attractive for people with feature phones and have limited or no data plans with a mobile operator. Through the Facebook application on the SIM card people can: Update their status and view comments on it; write on their friends wall; receive notifications; find friends on their SIM phonebook.

Specifications of the SIM card

The SIM card will enable even the most bare-boned handset to have Facebook functionality, albeit text based for the leaner devices known as feature phones. This will help the social network approach its goal of becoming the standard social service for all mobile phones.
It provides you text based menus which will let you carry out basic tasks like status updates, pokes, friend requests, wall posts etc.
