HTC To Focus On Business With New Department

Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC is targeting RIM after it announced the launch of a new division called HTC Business which will provide support for businesses looking to deploy its smartphones.
HTC Business will be their one stop shop and will provide them with advice and support all the way from choosing the the right business package to after sales support through a network of experts.
Right now though, HTC Business is limited to a website with an email address and a London-based phone number which is only for IT or project managers who are responsible for HTC business devices within an organisations.
The support line (which is in English only) is opened five days a week from 8am to 6pm and is available only in UK and Eire; the experts will be able to answer questions ranging from Exchange server integration and management, email configuration, synchronisation and pairing issues to business application compatibility.
HTC UK, Ireland and South Africa chief executive Jon French said: “The HTC brand is increasingly gaining traction with consumers across the globe but our heritage lies in the business market. The business smartphone market represented nearly a third of the total smartphone market in 2009, according to analyst house Canalys, and is expected to grow dramatically in the coming years."
